kicking my own ass

OK, I just redid my sooo old picture.

And with this I`m entering in the 3rd group - all traditional images.

So both drawings are done with coloured pencils (obviously). Both are on A4 paper.
First one took me about3-4 hours to finish, second 15 hours. Both drawings are done without any references from my memory (lately usually I use reference photos for horse anatomy, but this time I decided that it would be more fair to compare if I wouldn`t use any horse photos, so that`s how well I can draw a horse without any refs).

And I think I have improved quite a lot. Composition is better now, I actually understand something from horse anatomy now, coloring is also better, I at least tried to make some correct shading, and also this time I used more pencils. And yeah, I have finally learned to use body language to show emotions not just simply draw an animal in the "standard pose".

The time interval between these 2 works are 18 months.
First one was drawn when I was 15, but now few weeks ago was my 17th birthday.
